Read moreIt was with great astonishment and sadness that I learned of Art Rozier's preciptious departure from our earthbound ranks. It's times like this that one realizes how fickle life can be.
When Art first took over from Larry Hoff, I had some concerns, as those were some pretty big shoes to fill, but those concerns were unfounded. Art definitely stepped up to the plate, and left his own mark on the AFJROTC program, the Lt. Helton Memorial Foundation, and within our community. He, like Larry Hoff, was a precious resource whom I will miss, both professionally and personally.

Read moreOnce again, everyone came through for the Flat Joe 5k. Despite the threatening weather, we had a record number of participants in the 1 mile, and we had over 100 runners in the 5k this year! Yeah! The majority of the participants were Flat Joe 5k race veterans, and for some, this was their fourth year. This event feels more and more like a family reunion every year!
